Aston Martin Valen: The Most Powerful Front-Engined Aston Martin Ever

Aston Martin has unveiled the Valen, a limited-production V12 supercar that becomes the most powerful front-engined production car in the world and the most powerful front-engined Aston Martin in the marque's 113-year history.

Created by Q by Aston Martin, the Valen combines a full carbon-fibre body with the most potent version yet of Aston Martin's 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12.

Producing 850 PS and 1,000 Nm of torque, the Valen accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.0 seconds and reaches an electronically limited top speed of 214 mph.

More power, less weight

Performance isn't simply about adding power.

Aston Martin has removed up to 110 kg compared with its core V12 platform through the extensive use of carbon fibre, aluminium, titanium and magnesium.

Lightweight magnesium wheels are fitted as standard, while an optional lightweight package introduces machined aluminium suspension components and titanium chassis bolts.

An eight-speed ZF transmission incorporates shift strategies developed through Aston Martin's Vantage GT4 racing programme, while dedicated Sport, Sport+ and Track modes alter the character of the powertrain and throttle response.

Then there's the soundtrack.

A specially developed lightweight titanium exhaust features four outlets, including 3D-printed titanium finishers, and has been tuned to allow the V12 to become increasingly vocal as the revs rise.

A new interpretation of Aston Martin

The Valen also represents a dramatic evolution of Aston Martin's traditional front-engined, rear-wheel-drive proportions.

Its coach-built carbon-fibre body introduces slim recessed headlights, aggressive aerodynamic surfaces, pronounced rear haunches and a full-width rear light bar.

Customers can specify the entire exterior in exposed carbon fibre, with bespoke tinted finishes available through Q by Aston Martin.

Inside, the focus continues on reducing both physical and visual weight. A new driver-focused centre console incorporates 3D-printed components and technology derived from the Valhalla, alongside a choice of Sports Plus or lightweight carbon-fibre performance seats.

Personalisation is extensive, with multiple leather and Alcantara combinations, trim configurations, anodised finishes and bespoke options available through Q.

Just 150 will exist

Production of the Aston Martin Valen will be strictly limited to 150 cars worldwide, placing it among the marque's most exclusive modern V12 models.

With 850 PS, a 214 mph top speed, up to 110 kg of weight reduction and just 150 examples being produced, the Valen represents an extreme interpretation of Aston Martin's front-engined V12 formula.
