An award-winning country house, a spa worth slowing down for and a refreshingly playful approach to luxury. Homewood joins Arvelo Select, bringing another distinctive escape to our growing collection.
Some hotels give you a base to explore. Others make you want to clear the diary and stay a little longer. Homewood, tucked into the Somerset countryside near Bath, has something of both.
Behind its Georgian exterior is a hotel full of personality. Eclectic artwork, unexpected details and individually styled spaces give this country house a wonderfully relaxed character.
There is plenty to catch your eye, but just as much reason to settle in and switch off.
A different pace of weekend
Homewood lends itself to the kind of break that starts with a loose plan and ends with another hour by the pool.
The spa and heated outdoor swimming pool offer an invitation to slow down, while the grounds provide space to wander between treatments, drinks and dinner.
Bath is within easy reach when you fancy exploring, although staying put is very much part of the appeal.
Whether you are planning a romantic weekend or adding a countryside stop to a longer escape, Homewood brings together comfort, character and a sense of fun.
Award-winning hospitality
Homewood was named Best Hotel at the Trencherman's Awards 2026, adding another reason to put this Somerset retreat on your travel list.
It is a fitting addition to Arvelo Select: somewhere with its own identity, where the hotel itself becomes a memorable part of the trip.

Homewood is a natural addition to that collection.

The Arvelo view
The places you stay can shape a journey just as much as the roads that get you there.
Homewood is the kind of hotel that gives you a reason to slow down, enjoy the destination and make the stay itself part of the experience.
That combination of character, hospitality and individuality is exactly what we look for when growing the Arvelo Select collection.
